Light Up Lorain – BRHS

The Black River Historical Society/Moore House Museum, 309 West Fifth Street, Lorain, will host an Open House in conjunction with the City’s “Light Up Lorain” on Saturday, Nov. 27th. The museum will be open from 3pm to 5pm with free admission. The museum is decorated for the holidays and is featuring part of the Dept 56 collection from Dave Kramer. Gifts & cookies are planned. Collection of non-perishable food products will be held and donated to the Downtown Ministries.

The Downtown Lorain Christmas Decorating Council is again sponsoring “Light Up Lorain and City Hall Square” during the Christmas Holiday Season. 2010 Light Up Lorain will take place on Saturday, November 27th.
The schedule of events is as follows:
Saturday, November 27th

4:00pm ~ Parade down Broadway & West Erie Avenue

5:00pm ~ Light Up Lorain Ceremony, Veteran’s Park
Live Entertainment by various local groups

6:00pm ~ Mayor Anthony Krasienko turns on the lights
& the Animated show begins

8:30pm ~ Fireworks Display

Trolley, Horse-drawn carriage & trackless Train rides – $1.00 per person per ride
