Yes, I’m still here. I took the rest of my vacation over the holidays and made candy, fudge, cookies and snack mix, along with making dinner. Very busy, and not a lot of time to pick up the camera. Nor am I fond of the cold weather.
BUT! If there’s a really good photo op, then I might venture outside.
So, I woke up the morning of the 13th last month, and as I’m fixing the bed, I look outside. Frost!! And it looks COOL, even from upstairs. So I finish the bed and run outside. In shorts, flip-flops and a T-shirt.
Am I nuts or what?
Answer that after you look at the pics.
..You could be destroying your next good photo. Was taking care of a project, and while I noticed there was a considerable amount of dew Sunday morning, I didn’t really “look” until I was done with the shot I was working on. I was fortunate enough to have had the macro lens on (good for landscapes, too!), otherwise I may not have tried this. Needless to say, I was on Cloud 9 after seeing how these turned out.
The next one is the zoomed-in view of the one above.
…Red Skies at Morning, Sailor Take Warning.
From what I understand, EVERYONE should take warning today, as the temperature is supposed to hover around the 92 degree mark. So, stay in, stay cool and stay hydrated!!

If I’ve gotta be up early, waiting on everyone to get ready for school, I may as well make use of my time!
I got an email last month from Matt Naugle of Naugblog. He dropped me a line to compliment me on my pics, and to tell me he was from Avon Lake, and he was now living in Columbus. So, to thank him for taking the time, and at the risk of making him homesick, here are shots from a sunrise I recently shot from the Miller Road boat launch pier.
There’s a few more here.
Hope everyone, especially Matt, enjoys.
Nothing like a sunrise to start the day.
Thank You, Lord, for another day.
