Light Up Lorain: Saturday

The City of Lorain and the Downtown Lorain Christmas Council would like to cordially invite you to the 2011 Light Up Lorain – “The Magic of Toyland on Broadway”. The Holiday Season will kick-off on Saturday, November 26, beginning with the holiday parade at 5pm. The Open Door High School and the Lorain High School Marching Band will kick-off the parade, which includes The “Big Sky Clydesdales” from Chardon, Ohio. These majestic Clydesdale Horses will make their first-ever appearance on Broadway.

I missed seeing everyone it “was “crowded and the 2 1/2 year old was impatient so we were walking a lot ….away from people ( some were a little scary)….. and I am not talking about the “characters in costume” but the ones that would have been less scary in costume that added to the sights and “smells” in less than positive holiday way 😉 … anyway lots of people and the fireworks were great we thought he might cry with the loud bangs BUT he is used to “loud” having me for a “nag nog”

  2. I didn’t get to walk around much, Loraine. My phone was dead, and I couldn’t go too far from Kristen, and she was hanging with her friends. Fireworks WERE good, but I was sorry that it got dark as early as it did, I couldn’t see much of the parade entries. Slideshow coming soon.
