PhotoPhun Challenge: Trees

Ree, in her first challenge pick of the year, selected trees. In her words, “Trees are poetry to me, they are beautiful. Their shapes, their movement.” Who can argue with that?

My first opportunity to shoot was this morning, in the midst of the snow. So, to supplement, I went back to the archives for a few to round out this post. Make sure to visit Ree and Lisa.  You can bet they got some good shots!

  1. I was wondering if you were going to use that burst to your advantage yesterday. We didn’t get any of that on the East Side.

Beautiful red maple [?] shot and nice to see a different season represented.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures of ice next week!

  2. Yea, I realized while watching all that snow come down that (besides having to shovel it) I was lacking my challenge pictures that were due today.
Figured I’d try to work those in somehow.:-)
Ice, huh? Where the heck are we gonna find ice THIS time of year???
HEY, by the way, speaking of ice, next weekend is the Winter Days Festival at Mill Hollow. There’ll be ice carvings there.

  3. I did not know about the festival next week. We haven’t been there for it in a long time. Maybe we’ll just have to check that out…thanks for the heads-up!
